Yeah, so this was already posted on Stereogum, but it caught my eye. According to NME, R.E.M.'s new album will be titled Accelerate and will be released on April Fool's Day.I can't speak for the other Rockists, but I'm actually looking forward to this. After a few disappointing albums recently, let's hope R.E.M. gets back to what they do best: vague, almost incomprehensible lyrics with political and social commentary over solid pop rock licks.

Speaking of R.E.M, that song "I'm Gonna DJ" off their new live album is probably one of the worst REM songs of all time. Right up there with "Radio Song" that awful mashup with KRS-One....They are capable of so much more....
I actually kind of like "Radio Song." I used to listen to that as a kid and think I was "street."
Radio Song blows, Rob. We knew it then, and we certainly know it now. Shiny Happy People and Radio Song brought shame upon a once proud nation of R.E.M. fans....
The only kind of "street" cred you got from Radio Song was from Sesame Street.
